Conduct a comprehensive critical analysis using your works from the Required References section of this assignment as well as at least 13 other sources, ultimately demonstrating how your sources clarify or illuminate a recent event or crisis. Your analysis must be grounded in a specific, identified critical theory, viz. post-structuralism, post-colonialism, Critical Race Theory, Orientalism, New Historicism, or another established school of critical thought.
Research proposals will include a formal prose introduction, a comprehensive methodology for completing the proposed research, and an annotated bibliography of selected sources containing a summary and a context paragraph for each source. While this project replaces the regular research project for the semester for honors students, it features more rigorous requirements (100% longer introductions and methodologies and 5 additional sources on the annotated works cited).
