Discuss Lewis’ use of dialogue as well as the paragraphing / organization of his essay. Any and all opinions are welcome. See below for specific questions if you cannot figure out what to talk about.
What did you think of the dialogue? How might the piece have been different if he just summarized what was said instead of including the characters’ exact words?
What about the paragraphing and all the white space? How did that affect the flow of the piece, and did you like it?
What about how he organized the plot? Beginning in the pool, flashing back, and then flashing forward again – is this a technique you could see yourself using, or do you prefer more traditional plot structures?
