Information Security-Legal and Ethical Issues – The McCumber Cube.
The McCumber Cube, embedded within the CNSS Security Model, contains three dimensions. The three dimensions of each axis become a 3 × 3 × 3 cube with 27 cells representing areas that must be addressed to secure today’s information systems.
The three dimensions of the model are:
- Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability;
- Policy, Education, Technology; and
- Storage, Processing, and Transmission.
Search the Internet for examples of the CNSS security model and its three dimensions. In this paper, briefly elaborate on each of these dimensions and their importance to a solid InfoSec program. Include any impacts management has in sustaining secure information systems. Be sure to expand on the importance of each dimension and how they work together to ensure a secure infrastructure. In preparing your response, you should include at least one source from professional or academic literature, such as articles from peer-reviewed journals and relevant textbooks.
