1. Hindu Deities: As you may realize, Hinduism is a diverse religion. Let’s focus on popular forms of devotion and practice. Choose a deity mentioned in our book. Describe this deity – what are some of his or her associations? What stories can you tell us about this deity? Go online and find a picture of this deity to upload to your post (remember to cite the source of the image). How are some of the ways people worship Hindu deities?

2. Hindu Holidays and Rituals: What is an example of a Hindu ritual or holiday? How, when, and by whom is it performed? What stories are associated with it?

3. Social Roles in Hinduism: How does the Hindu caste system historically structured society? What are the different groups and how do they practice the religion? Finally, what does it mean to renounce society and who does this?
