The organization I work for was having trouble keeping track of employee time off. People were taking advantage of the system and not adhering to the policies in place. The proposed solution was to create an electronic time off tracking system. I was involved in the design and implementation of the system. The final outcome was that the system was implemented and it has been successful in reducing the amount of time off taken without approval.

 

The system I designed was very simple. It consisted of a web-based interface that allowed employees to request time off. The requests were then sent to the supervisor for approval. Once approved, the request was entered into the system and the employee's time off balance was updated.

 

The system has been very successful in reducing the amount of time off taken without approval. It has also helped to improve communication between supervisors and employees. Overall, it has been a great success and has helped to improve the efficiency of our organization.
